Maritime Application of Icynene MD-C-200

For critical maritime applications, there is no room for just good enough, In order for seagoing crews and machinery to perform at their best, it is crucial to protect and insulate crew and equipment spaces from the bitter elements that maritime environments bring to bear.
Zerodraft Insulation LLC was called to solve this issue of insulating exposed areas below crew and machine spaces to address this exact scenario. Professionalism of the installers and product control were paramount for the client. Due to the environmental concerns of installing so close to protected waterways while in port, overspray and product containment were critical to the completion of the job.
A two man installation crew and a project manager were brought in to complete the job of installing the minimum of 6 inches of Icynene MD-C-200 closed cell spray foam along the two areas of the ship. Passageway areas were completely encapsulated with polyethylene sheeting to insure the zero tolerance for overspray was achieved. The professional installers from Zerodraft were able to complete the foam install job in one day and returned early the next morning to complete sealing the foam with Jackson marine finish to complete the job to client specifications.
